Learn to Crochet Class: Spring Edition

Learn to Crochet Class: Spring Edition

from 50.00

I provide crochet classes for people who want to make and create in a safe and encouraging environment, where technique and enjoyment is proritised over perfectionism. I love helping my students grow in confidence and ability, and access whole new levels of calm and purpose that learning a craft can bring. The classes are guided by core values of creativity, compassion, and sustainability. Craft should be enjoyable as well as healthily challenging, and make the most of the resources we have around us.

Six week course begins Wednesday 4th September 2019 (ending 9th October). Wednesdays 4.30- 6.30 pm at Stackwood in White Gum Valley.

$50 for 2 hour class, $250 to sign up for six week course in which you will take home a cute Granny square item of your own desire.

Wednesday evenings are for learning to crochet a granny square (or several). This gentle, intro-to-the-world-of-crochet course will cover all the basics of using yarn, hooks, and enthusiasm to create your own cushion. Each class will cover a different granny square, and can be taken either as a stand-alone class, or as part of a six week class in which you will learn to join and . So be there or be (granny) square! Tea and delicious snacks provided. Classes are capped at six participants to provide individualised support and guidance.

Everything you need is included in the course with a handy kit! Each kit includes a crochet hook, beautiful yarn, and take home patterns.

“She catered for all of us and approachable”

“Leah is the most gentle and patient teacher I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. All your materials are supplied and Leah leads you confidently through each weeks granny square class (turns out you will have a fav granny square!), generously pouring tea to help your brain learn all the new concepts. Taking the time to ensure no one is left behind but also ensuring any students who are lucky enough to ‘get the hang of it’ can move at their own pace, Leah’s calm nature is perfect for the studio. The demonstrations, examples and workbooks supplied could not be easier to learn from and definitely give you hope for your masterpiece! Leah’s positivity and encouragement helped me discover and enjoy a talent ( I use that word loosely- haha) that I didn’t even know I had! The focus on technique becomes especially important as you move through the weeks and I am so grateful to have learnt from someone so passionate and professional.”
